The Transport and General Workers Union has commented as MPs prepare to debate the second reading of the government’s Pensions Bill, by saying that whilst ministers have made a promising start to tackling the pensions crisis they must address the ‘Great Pensions Robbery’.
Its General Secretary, Tony Woodley, continued: ‘What we want to see is robust legislation in this Pensions Bill and rulings from our courts which deliver justice for people who have worked hard for their retirement. The T&G; will keep fighting back for our members and their future.’
