Pension News Retirement Funding Top Of Financial Advice Enquiries

Retirement planning is the most sought after type of financial guidance, according to a new survey.

Unbiased.co.uk’s latest Advice Driver report shows that 48 per cent of consumers who searched for independent financial advice in September, using the website, were looking for help with personal retirement planning.

Of those who were seeking retirement funding advice, 11 per cent were specifically looking for guidance on pension stakeholder advice pensions, and the remaining 37 per cent general retirement advice.

Commenting, Karen Barrett, chief executive of unbiased.co.uk, said: “Everyone should think about what they will do when they stop working and how they will pay for their lives in retirement.

“The numerous retirement planning options are confusing and complex and it’s no surprise that retirement planning advice is the most sought after area of independent financial advice. Only an independent financial adviser can look at the whole range of options and recommend the best choice for their clients.”
