Pensions Regulator issues ‘Purple Book’
20 December 2007 / by None
The Purple Book contains new information about the PPF levy and the current final salary situation that affects more than 12.5 million people.
It brings together data and analysis of scheme size, industry-type, funding levels, rates of insolvency and the way assets are invested.
The second year of publication for the guide, the publishers hope it will be more popular than the first, which was downloaded more than 150,000 times.
Pensions Regulator chief executive Tony Hobman said: “In the past year, the first edition of the Purple Book has proved an invaluable tool to help us deliver regulation focused on those schemes at most risk.”
He added that the edition, with its additional data, would “help enhance that delivery”.
Recently the regulator launched an internet system by which schemes could provide the correct information to make invoicing more efficient.
