He said, ‘As the European Union grows larger and becomes more diverse, it is almost inevitable that this type of meeting will become more common,’ and added that the Presidency ‘has found the participants in today’s meeting to be very open and helpful in letting us know what is happening and they have committed to briefing us after the meeting has concluded’.
