Home insurance costs ‘stop students getting cover’

Endsleigh has found that a number of people at university choose not to take out policies, despite the fact that an array of cheap deals aimed specifically at them are available.

“The average student has £4,200 worth of possessions that they bring with them to university. That is a lot of money for a student to have to find in one go to replace everything,” said Rhiannon Harris, Endsleigh spokesperson.
A-level students face a nerve-racking few days as exam results published this week will determine which universities they are eligible to attend.
