Dress? Check. Flowers? Check. Cake? Check. Wedding insurance?

Wedding season is upon us again, and with so many possible calamities, Fairinvestment.co.uk is reminding all prospective brides and grooms to be prepared for the worst and consider wedding insurance.

Fairinvestment.co.uk spokesperson, Daniela Gieseler, commented: “Your wedding should be one of the best days of your life so why take any risks?

“There are so many things that could go wrong, imagine if someone dropped the cake or ordered the wrong flowers by mistake? With wedding insurance you could cover the cost of such incidents and put your mind at rest.”

The average UK wedding now costs more than £18,000, making wedding insurance a necessity rather than an option.

Mrs Gieseler continued: “You can insure your whole wedding for as little as £60, a drop in the ocean compared to the rest of the costs involved in getting married. You would insure a computer that cost £1,000, so to not insure a precious wedding dress, with added sentimental value, seems absurd.”

“Despite the obvious benefits, insurance is not always something that is automatically added to the wedding plan. We are consequently urging future brides and grooms to remember their wedding insurance as it could prove invaluable if the unexpected happens.”
