Switching energy suppliers is easy – just compare prices to find the best deal for your area and then the new company will usually do all the paperwork for you, including contacting your current supplier to inform them about the switch.

Your new supplier may require details such as meter readings and a transfer code from the old supplier. Once that is communicated to them, a switchover usually takes in the region of two to four weeks. There should be no interruption of supply during this period, and the only change that you should notice would be the changing of your bills. If in doubt, simply contact the customer service line of your new supplier.
