Nationwide home insurance has launched a new policy which aims to reward both new and existing customers with a discount of up to 30 as well as other special offers.

Existing customers who already hold other products with Nationwide, such as mortgages, savings, or other insurance products, will get a 30 per cent discount when they take out a new Nationwide home insurance policy which includes buildings and contents cover.

New customers to Nationwide will save 15 per cent when they take out a home insurance policy. The special offer is available until 3 January 2011.

Nationwide has been recognised by independent financial research company Defaqto, receiving a five star rating for its quality of home insurance cover.

Commenting on the special offer, John Baker, head of general insurance at Nationwide, said:  “As always, we strive to give our customers the best possible cover, at the best possible rate – so we are delighted we can reward customer loyalty with a really significant and tangible saving on price.”
